South Brunswick book sale

New Jersey International Film Festival

NEW BRUNSWICK – The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center will present the annual 2019 New Jersey International Film Festival on June 7-9 from 7-9:30 p.m. The festival will showcase the best in independent film by featuring premiere screenings and special guest appearances by film directors, screenwriters, cast and crew. Celebrate Middlesex County

EDISON – The third annual Celebrate Middlesex County is on June 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Roosevelt Park in Edison. This free, family-friendly event will showcase the unique programs, services and people of Middlesex County government. There will be food from local vendors, live music from Ray Andersen & The First Verse, games and activities, Touch-a-Truck, roller skating, a performance by children’s entertainer Mr. Ray, a fishing derby, and much more. Strawberry festival

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – VonThun Farms will have its Strawberry Festival on June 8 and June 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature dozens of activities and attractions, vendors, food, and family fun.  550 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, South Brunswick.

Film: Roll Red Roll

MONROE – The Monroe library will show the documentary film “Roll Red Roll,” on June 8 at 1 p.m. The 2018 film is a true-crime thriller about the assault of a teenage girl by members of a high school football team in Steubenville, Ohio. 4 Municipal Plaza.

Indian dance performances

MONROE – The Sowparnika Dance Academy will perform Indian dances at the Monroe Township Senior Center on June 8 at 5:30 p.m. The dances are curated by Guruji Malini Nair. Appetizers and dinner included in ticket price. Purchase tickets online. 12 Halsey Reed Road, Monroe.

Sports card show

Polish Heritage Festival 2019

EAST BRUNSWICK – The annual Polish Heritage Festival is on June 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds in East Brunswick. The event will have live music, authentic Polish food, antique car show, children’s entertainment, dance performances and a Polish vendor marketplace. Feria de Sevilla

WOODBRIDGE – Spend an afternoon in Spain at the "Feria de Sevilla", with Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre at Parker Press Park on June 9 from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Experience the vibrant colors, sights, sounds, tastes and smells of Seville, Spain at this joyful event, presented in collaboration with Woodbridge Township, Woodbridge Merchants Downtown Alliance, UPS and Atlantic tomorrow's office.
