It's time for the weekend. Here are 8 events happening in Middlesex County to help get you out of the house.

Middlesex County Fair

EAST BRUNSWICK – Celebrate the summer at the Middlesex County Fair on Aug. 10 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Aug. 11 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fairgoers can view the county’s agricultural history, exhibits, rides and attractions at the family-friendly event. Tickets: $7 for adult, $4 for senior, $1 for children ages 3-12. Entertainment and parking are free. Ride ticket packages range from $1 for a single ticket to $50 for 64. 655 Cranbury Road.

Old Time Baseball

PISCATAWAY – Liberty Base Ball Club takes on the Elizabeth Resolutes on Aug. 10 at 12 p.m. in a style of baseball that dates back to the 1850s. Liberty Fair Grounds, 1050 River Road.

Car and Motorcycle Show

EDISON – The East Brunswick Elks Lodge 2370 will have a car and motorcycle show Aug. 10 from 12-3 p.m. Fee to register a car, truck or motorcycle is $10, which includes door prize and ticket. Documentary film: 'Gift'

MONROE – The Monroe library will show the documentary film “Gift” on Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. “Gift” is about a once-thriving East Java town is buried in a tsunami of mud. A decade later, villagers continue to fight the corporate powers accused in this environmental disaster. 4 Municipal Plaza.

Seeing the Stars

PLAINSBORO – The Plainsboro library presents an astronomy program with Princeton Astronomy on Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Learn the basics after hours at the library, such as using a telescope and identifying major constellations. 9 Van Doren St.  

Plays in the Park: The Addams Family

EDISON – Middlesex County’s Plays in the Park presents “The Addams Family” on Aug. 10 at 8 p.m. The show is based upon The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel gag cartoons, which depict a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre. Summer film festival “Gloria Bell”

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – The South Brunswick library will show “Gloria Bell” as part of its summer film festival. Gloria is a free-spirited divorcee who spends her days at a straight-laced office job and her nights on the dance floor, joyfully letting loose at clubs around Los Angeles. After meeting Arnold on a night out, she finds herself thrust into an unexpected new romance, filled with both the joys of budding love and the complications of dating, identity, and family.

Summer Concert: Hotel Excelsior Orchestra

SOUTH PLAINFIELD – Middlesex County presents Hotel Excelsior Orchestra as part of its summer concert series on Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. Spring Lake Park, Maple Avenue.
