MONROE – The township’s annual Green Fair will offer more than 100 exhibitors promoting sustainable and healthy living options next month.
The Green Fair will take place on Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Monroe Township High School.
“I’m pleased to see how the Green Fair has grown over the past decade and I am proud of our continued collective efforts to promote a more environmentally friendly lifestyle in Monroe Township,” Mayor Gerald Tamburro said in a statement on Monday.
The joint event organized by the Environmental Commission and library is now in its 10th year.
In addition to the exhibitors, the fair will also have guest speakers throughout the day and an animal show at 1 p.m.
Speakers include Jaclyn Lithgow talking about essential oils at 10:30 a.m. followed by a discussion on climate change with New Jersey State Climatologist David Robinson at 11 a.m. For those interested in oceanic efforts, John Dohanic of Aquatic Performance Training will host a lecture on aquatic rehabilitation at 11:30 a.m. and Maria Choy will present The Medical and Environmental Applications of Hemp at 12:30 p.m.
There will also be an electric car booth and a children’s area with environmentally-friendly crafts and activities.
Monroe Township High School is located at 200 Schoolhouse Road, Monroe.
