MONROE — Make-A-Wish New Jersey will host its annual Walk & Roll for Wishes at the Samuel & Josephine Plumeri Wishing Place in Monroe Township, the magical and whimsical wish-granting facility that Make-A-Wish New Jersey calls home on Oct. 20.
The annual event raises funds needed for its mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
The walk is open to all ages and abilities, as an individual or as part of a team, and can register in advance at nj.wish.org/walk. This is a non-competitive, wheelchair-friendly course down Perrineville Road in Monroe Township as well as the castle grounds, followed by a fun-filled day of music, entertainment, games, food and fun.
"Now in our 36th year of wish granting here in New Jersey, we know that a wish is life-changing for not only a child with a critical illness, but for the entire family,” said Tom Weatherall, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish New Jersey. “Our annual Walk & Roll For Wishes events are an opportunity to invite our donors, sponsors, volunteers, wish families, as well as new friends and members of the New Jersey community to engage in our mission. We hope you’ll join us at our upcoming Walk & Roll for Wishes, and help us continue towards our vision of reaching every eligible child here in the Garden State.”
Onsite registration for the 2019 Walk & Roll for Wishes begins at 9 a.m., and the Walk & Roll will starts at 10 a.m.
