MONROE – Financial advisors from Merrill Lynch and an educational planner from One-Stop College Counseling will lead a workshop about investing in your child’s future.
The program will take place on Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Monroe Township Library.
The presenters are Jeremy Faberlle and Adewale Akinrinde of Merrill Lynch and Laurie Kopp Weingarten of One-Stop College Counseling.
“With the increasing cost of tuition and admissions criteria more competitive than ever, the prospect of planning for higher education may seem daunting,” according to a summary of the program. “The key to developing a strategy is to understand the options available.”
The three presenters will discuss: integrating education planning into personal financial strategy; borrowing versus saving for education; tax-advantaged education planning solutions; college admission changes; applicant traits; and how to stand out in the admission process.
The library is located at 4 Municipal Plaza.
