MONROE – A 74-year-old township resident was killed in a motor vehicle accident on Monday, Middlesex County and local authorities said on Tuesday.

Brenda Ness died at the accident scene, which happened on Forsgate Drive between Applegarth Road and Half Acre Road.

Authorities charged Manuel Oscar Dominguez-Valdez, 48, of Wilmington, Delaware in the fatal accident. He was charged with causing a death while driving with a suspended license and also issued a ticket for driving with a suspended license.

Authorities allege that Dominguez-Valdez struck the Ford Fusion attempting to turn left across Forsgate Drive with his Dodge Ram on May 13. The collision resulted in the death of the passenger, Ness, in the Ford Fusion.

The driver of the Fusion was treated at a hospital for his injuries.
