OLD BRIDGE – The Old Bridge Public Library will welcome instrumental guitarist Peter Biedermann as part of the Second Saturday Concert Series on Oct. 12 at 2:30 p.m.
Biedermann is a solo contemporary guitarist based in Green Valley, AZ who has been composing and performing for more than 40 years. His music crosses many genres, with a hybrid, contemporary style combining elements of American and European folk with jazz and blues influences. He often performs in intimate settings such as libraries, art galleries, coffee houses and churches.
During this concert, Biedermann will focus on new pieces as well as material from his previous solo recordings on a variety of guitars in unique tunings.
The program encourages questions from the audience and will also include some of the history and evolution of steel string guitar playing over the last 50 years. CDs will be for sale after the performance.
Attendees are requested to bring a non-perishable, unexpired item for donation to the Old Bridge Food Bank to this free event.
