The Plainsboro Public Library and the New Jersey Audubon present “Plein Air at the Preserve” on June 23 from 1-3 p.m.

Community members are invited to bring art supplies to sketch, paint or journaling at the Plainsboro Preserve.

At 2 p.m., sketchbook journal artist Paula Ridley will be on hand to give an informal chat and demo.

This is an unstructured afternoon where artists can enjoy each other’s company and the outdoors. Parents must accompany their children, as the Plainsboro Library and the New Jersey Audubon at the Preserve are not providing supervision. No registration necessary.

The Plainsboro Preserve is located at 80 Scotts Corner Road, Cranbury.

Community members can come any time, but this is a suggested time for artists to congregate. Rain date is same time on June 30.

The library invite artists of all ages to submit works from this plein air day to the library for a December exhibit. To be eligible to enter, work must be matted, framed, and wired for hanging; work must be of a Plainsboro location; work must be original, in a 2D medium. Photography is not eligible for entry into the exhibit. Artwork submission date is tentatively Oct. 30.
